周范 Zhou Fan
周范，1983年生于山西。2007年下半年，他入选了中国新锐画家奖的25位新锐中国艺术家，并最终获得之前一直空缺的“特别提名奖”。获得这个奖之后，他逐渐受到了媒体的关注。关于他的绘画，他说道：
“我的一系列绘画都是源于我小时候的梦，天上飘着许多水母，有些乘着降落伞落到地面变成了蘑菇。这些梦对我产生了很大的影响，并清楚的记得。我总是莫名其妙的认为梦比现实更吸引人。”
Zhou Fan was born in 1983 in Shanxi Province in northern China. In late 2007, Zhou Fan was selected as one of the top 25 emerging Chinese artists at the Chinese Art Prize. Zhou Fan was given the “special mention” prize, which had never been awarded before. The Chinese Art Prize launched Zhou Fan’s career, and allowed him to gain much more exposure. He said:
“A series of my paintings is based on dreams that I had as a child of many many jellyfish floating in the sky, some of which fell to the ground on parachures and became mushrooms. These dreams had a strong impact on me, and I remember them vividly. Somehow I feel that it is easier to focus on dreams than reality.”
Lisa Dahl
Lisa Dahl是一位“多”媒体艺术家，她涉及的领域包括绘画、摄影、装置、录像等。出生于明尼阿波利斯的她 ，随着家庭住遍了近半打的美国的州，现居纽约。关于她的作品，她说道：
“由于在成长过程中不断的搬家，于是我将这些郊区的房子——有点类似于我儿时的记忆——当作了理想中的美国梦的化身。我将房子的结构简易化，只留一个基本的样子，探索我们对家的传统意识，以及这些建筑给是如何唤起我们的个人理想、经济问题、城市规划以及对环境问题的考虑。我利用各种艺术媒介来探究我与这些房子及其营造的社区既爱又恨的关系。”
Lisa Dahl is a mixed-media artist who works in painting, photography, installation and video. Born in Minneapolis, Dahl has lived in half a dozen different States, and currently lives and works in New York City. According to her works, she said:
“Having moved around frequently growing up, I use the suburban home – like those reminiscent of my childhood – as an idealistic icon of the American Dream. By simplifying the structure of a house to a basic form, I explore the traditional ideas we attach to home ownership as well as what these buildings evoke for us: personal goals, economic issues, urban planning, and environmental concerns. I work in a variety of artistic media to investigate the love-hate relationship I have with these houses and the sprawling communities they create.”
访谈第卅八期：雷磊 / The InterView vol.38: Lei Lei
好长的假期，大家应该跟我差不多，玩得累，休息的也累吧？再次坐到显示屏前面是不是有点不适应呢？没关系，雷磊的画一定会让你从闲散的状态中沉静下来。如果你也出生在八零年代，我相信这些用红蓝圆珠笔画的画一定会引起你的共鸣。
那雷磊到底是怎样一个人呢？还是从他的头衔说起吧。他不喜欢被称作潮流插画师，也不喜欢被称为动画导演，更不喜欢被称作艺术家，他自己心中对自己只有一个永恒的称谓——爱画画的孩子。他在画画的同时，也从事平面设计，短篇动画，涂鸦和Hip Hop音乐等诸多领域，他还在清华美院念研究生的时候他就成立了设计团队RAY DESIGN，而最近他又与其他几位朋友一起组建了一个乐队“嘿！！！”。但是，所有这些只是雷磊内心世界的不同表现形式罢了，细细欣赏，我们就能够看到的是雷磊的那颗缓慢、内敛、“守旧”的心——而不是更多人理解的“潮流”。访谈在作品之后，更多的作品见他的网站或豆瓣。
Lei Lei is a rising new-generation animation artist with his hands on graphic design, illustration, short cartoon, graffiti and hip-hop music, and in 2005 he founded design group “Raydesign Studio” when still in Tsinghua University. He now is also one of the members of hip-hop band HEY!!!. You can see more works on his website.
中野修一 Shuichi Nakano
中野修一，1966年出生于北海道，后前往德国游学，现居秋田县湯沢市。他的绘画常常利用想象让自然和城市的景物相聚、冲撞，看似偶然，却在质疑整个星球迈向都市化和现代化的必要性。本文作品选自他的”寻找乐园”系列。
Artist Shuichi Nakano was born in 1966 in Hokkaido, Japan, and stayed in Germany from 1991-1992. He now lives in Yuzawa, Akita Prefecture. His works make natural and city scenes meet and collide in imagination, seemingly accidental, tending to question the necessity of the whole planet to urbanization and modernization. The images are from his Searching for Paradise series.

本周 InterView 栏目的主人公是来自南非的艺术家 Cameron Platter 。一直关注假杂志的读者可能对他并不陌生，因为我们在8月份的一篇文章中已经介绍过他的作品。
Cameron Platter 生于1978年，现居南非第三大城市德班的郊区，在绘画作品以外，他也做装置。和南非许多艺术家将焦点放在暴力以及种族隔离的问题上不一样，他将目光投向了更贴近个人化的话题，诸如性是如何被看待，性是如何在民主制度中改变等等。在访谈中，我们请他谈了谈南非的艺术现状，还专门请他聊了聊最新的绘画系列“艰难时世/远大前程”以及最近的计划。本文图片亦选自“艰难时世/远大前程”系列。
We invited artist Cameron Platter from South Africa as our guest of InterView column. If you are a long-time reader of Jia Za Zhi, you might have seen his works in one of our posts in August.
Cameron Platter was born in 1978 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He now lives and works outside SA’s third largest city, Durban. Besides drawing, he also involved in installation. Quite different from other artists in South Africa who concerned more about race, violence, and the effects of apartheid, he pays more attention on private issue, such as how sex is perceived, and how it has changed in democracy. In the dialogue, Cameron talks about the art situation in South Africa, his new painting series Hard Times/Great Expectations, and his new plans as well. The images of this article were selected from the new series.
