Jiazazhi blogon PHOTOGRAPHY in & near China, plus other Beauties

这册叫《怪奇談絵詞》的神秘手稿，描绘有33个怪物和妖精，大多是来自于日本九州的传说（个别则来自日本以外）。这些绘画的作者不详，绘制时间则推断为19世纪中叶，现保存于福冈市博物馆。图片由Pink Tentacle的博主扫描自国書刊行会于2003年出版的《妖怪百物語絵巻》。我不一一翻译了，更多图片说明和大图见Pink Tentacle。

Here is a look at the Kaikidan Ekotoba, a mysterious handscroll that profiles 33 legendary monsters and human oddities, mostly from the Kyushu region of Japan (with several from overseas). The cartoonish document, whose author is unknown, is believed to date from the mid-19th century. It is now in the possession of the Fukuoka City Museum. The images are scanned by Pink Tentacle from the book ‘Youkai Hyakumonogatari Emaki’ (妖怪百物語絵巻) published by Kokusho Kankokai in 2003. You can see more details and bigger images on Pink Tentacle.
