黄京，昵称土豆（fotoyard），1987年10月生于广东市东山区人民医院，现居深圳市福田区。本文第一部分作品选自他的个人作品集《忆》，第二部分选自个人作品集《同学录》。

Huang Jing was born in October 1987 at People’s Hospital of Dongshan District, Guangzhou, China. He now lives in Futian District, Shenzhen. The pictures in the first part are from his self-published photo book Recall, and the pictures in the second part are from his another self-published photo book Classmates.

一、 词语解释
假 – 可能是真的对立面吧，但是真真假假，我也说不明白。
摄影 – 看见了，拍下来，和喜欢的人分享。
诗歌 – 像是定向频道电波，只有对号的人才能收到的一种身临其境的感觉。
广州 – 一个宽容度很大的焖锅，培养人才的福地。

二、 问答

你是什么开始对摄影产生兴趣的？是如何开始的？
高一的时候上了一个叫POCO的网站，然后就一发不可收拾了，当然最开始是拿着D70拍MM。后来无意间在杂志里翻到一版介绍徕卡M3的，开始了解黑白摄影，胶片等等，卖掉D70，换了个苏联徕卡Cope，开始拍黑白。

说到“大师”，你第一个想到的人是谁？请谈谈你心目里的他/她。
现在我认为的大师是山本昌南。我也是最近才发现这位谦逊的老人家的，他能把拍照发挥得如同说话一样自然。他个人内在的境界不是一般人能达到的。山本是摄影里的一片净土。

你的彩色作品和黑白相比，我更喜欢后者，你如何看待这两种效果不同的摄影介质？对你而言，两者的优势分别体现在哪里？
我是一直都在拍黑白，从开始到现在，我的主要作品也都是黑白的，彩色片是最近发烧机器才想起来拍的，拍拍女朋友，哄哄她开心，哈哈哈，还是非常管用的呢！不过我个人更喜欢用黑白拍的她，那是不一样的美，爱人之间才能流露出来的感情。可她却说是丑态照呢！说到丑态照，我最近编辑了一本我的大学图片同学录，从我拍摄我大学同学的2000多张照片中精选了650张“丑态照”，编成两本厚厚的书。那可是看到会流泪的照片啊，如果用彩色估计就办不到了。人总有个适合自己的方式，前些日子试拍彩色片也是想跟跟风的，最后发现并不适合自己。

你最近在做自己的摄影画册，做这本画册的初衷是什么？选择作品的标准是什么？
其实最早要做这件事的用意是编一本找工作用的作品集的，后来发现这些作品根本帮助不了我找工作，是公司见到都怕了。后来给它加个简单的封面（封面颜色来自咸鸭蛋），好像还有点意思，就印了三本样本出来。朋友们看到都说要买，建议我去印刷，但是我没有那么多的资金，所以现在正在搞预售，有好多热心的朋友帮助我，真的很感谢他们！选作品也没什么标准吧，因为在毕业前我的硬盘坏了，所以我重新整理了我四年来拍的片子，把感动自己的都用上，就是这样的。但在这个过程中发生了一件更有趣的事情，就是我把平日里拍摄我们班同学的照片整理了出来，竟有2000张之多。于是精选了650张编辑了两本画册，比我自己的作品更能打动人。

你如何看待独立艺术出版品或杂志在中国的前景？
觉得会越来越多人参与和关注的，就我身边的朋友来说，我能看到这个趋势。通过我这次的捣腾，我了解了一些国外的独立出版物的情况，虽然现在国内还没有形成一个大气候，但是人们对表达的要求越来越高了，思维也会慢慢从定式中解脱出来。艺术是人人都有的一种表达，只要你表达了，你便是艺术家。独立出版物和杂志会有越来越多的参与进来，读者也会越来越多的。

除了摄影你还关注什么？哪些事、物最能激发你创作的冲动？
所有能被我感觉得到的事物我都会关注，我的照片中所关注的事物就是我平日里所感兴趣的，生活中充满了有趣的东西。拍照是摄影中间的一个环节，摄影也许并不是一件事那么简单，是一连串事组成的一种行为。

1, Words Explanation
Fake – maybe the opposite of truth, however, I don’t know clearly what is true and what is fake.
Photography – when I see a favorite thing, I shoot it and share it with people I like.
Poetry – it’s like a radio wave of directional channels. Only the right person can receive a feeling as you are on the scene in the poem.
Guangzhou – a tolerant pot and a wonderland for talents.

2, Q&A
When did you get interested in photography and how it started?
At grade one of high school when I visited a website named POCO, I walked into the world of photography. At first I just shot beautiful girls with D70. Later when I read an article which introduced Leica M3 in a magazine, I knew about black-and-white photography, film and so on. I sold D70 and bought a Soviet Leica Cope to shoot black and white pictures.

Speaking of “master”, who will you instantly think of? Please talk about him / her in your own words.
Now I regard Yamamoto Masao as the master. Until recently I knew the modest old man. He shoots as naturally as talking. His inner world is high to reach. Mr.Yamamoto remains a pure land in photography.

I like your black and white pictures than the color ones. What do you think of the two mediums with different effects? What are their advantages respectively in your mind?
I have been taking black and white photos all the time.  Recently I took a few color ones owing to fever cameras. I shot my girlfriend with color ones to make her happy, and it did work! However, I like to take her black and white photos. She has a special charm in the photos with feelings between lovers, though she regarded herself in these photos as ugly. As for ugly, I recently edited a photo collection of my university classmates. I selected 650 “ugly pictures” from more than 2000 pictures of my classmates. At last I got two thick books in which the photos are very touching. One shall have a proper way for himself. I followed others to take color photos which I later found were not appropriate for me.

As for the photo album you mentioned, what was your original intention? What’s the standard for you to choose photos?
Actually I wanted to make an album for finding a job but later I realized that the album didn’t help because the employers were sick of seeing it. I added a simple cover for it (the color of the cover is from salt duck egg) which made the album more interesting. I printed three samples. My friends who wanted to buy it encouraged me to print, but because I don’t have enough money I am preselling it. Many thanks for the friends who came to help me. There was not a standard for choosing. Before my graduation my hard disk was broken so I sorted out the photos I took in four years which moved me. It was funny that I found more than 2000 pictures I shot for my classmates. I choosed 650 ones from them carefully into two albums which were more touching than my own works.

How do you see the future of indie art publications or magazines in China?
It will get more and more people to participate and concentrate, and this is a trend I can see from the friends around me. Through the album making I knew a few about the foreign indie publications. Although in China now it is not a big tendency, people are more and more demanding for expression and like to escape from fixed thinking. Art is an expression every body can make, and if you make it, you are an artist. People are increasingly involved in the indie publications and magazines and readers will also increase gradually.

Besides photography what are your concentrations? What will arouse your impulse of creation?
All things I can feel will get my attention and the things in my pictures are my interests in daily life. Life is full of fun. Shooting is just one link in photography which is not as simple as one affair, but a behaviour formed by a succession of affairs.
