专访插画师烟囱 / Interview with Yan Cong
新年第一篇访谈的受访者是假杂志觊觎已久的中国本土插画师烟囱。烟囱，1983年4月17日出生于湖北枝江，现居北京。下面是访谈，分为两个部分。
Chinese local illustrator Yan Cong will be our first featured artist in the new year. Yan Cong (flickr, facebook) was born on Apr.17th 1983 in Zhijiang City, Hubei province. Check out two parts of the interview below.
1, Q&A
DI: When did you get interested in drawing? How did you start?
YANCONG: In my primary school period, when I first read Japanese comics. I copied from many comics I like, such as Calabash Brothers, Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho and so on.
DI: Speaking of “master”, who will you instantly think of? please give your comments on him/her in one sentence?
YANCONG: I’m confused for a moment…maybe David Hockney. I just got a book by him on hand. His works are closed to normal life.The sense of form and favor of life are blended naturally in his works.
DI: Besides drawing and painting, what are your other hobbies?
YANCONG: Watching ball matches and collecting stamps.
DI: What’s your new year wish?
YANCONG: I wish I could travel far away with my girlfriend. To the south, maybe.
2, WORDS EXPLANATION
FAKE – Lie, Shy, Unnatural.
LOVE – frank, brave and tolerant.
CHILDHOOD – I was out of my childhood when I was cheated by a friend in my primary school. Therefore, I think CHILDHOOD is the period before you are cheated and realize the existence of lies. CHILDHOOD ends as soon as you see the reality and dark sides of humanity.
HOMETOWN - HOMETOWN is related with CHILDHOOD. With China’s economic transformation, my hometown has changed beyond all recognition, both seen from the environment and the people. So my hometown only lives in my memory.
CITY – There is not much difference between CITY and rural area, excepting for more job opportunities.
Xu Shi Pi – It’s a comic fanzine made by me and my friend Zuo Ma, to encourage each other. Out of our expectation, it sells well. We will invite one new creator in each new issue, to be more multifarious. It will still be printed in small amounts in the future, just playing with ourselves.

言由：你是什么开始对画画产生兴趣的？是如何开始的？
烟囱：小学吧，接触到日本漫画的时候，喜欢就开始临摹了，临摹过《葫芦娃》，《龙珠》，《幽游白书》，很多。
言由：提到“大师”，你马上想到的人是谁？请以一句话评价他/她。
烟囱：我先是茫然一下，大卫·霍克尼吧，刚好手头有本他的书，他的画挺生活的，形式感和生活的气息融合的很自然，不脱节。
言由：除了绘画之外，你还有什么其它爱好吗？
烟囱：看球赛，集邮。
言由：你的新年愿望是什么？
烟囱：能和女朋友出趟远门 ，去南方玩玩。
二、词语解释
假——撒谎，害羞，不自然。
爱——直白，勇敢，包容。
童年——我是在被小学的朋友欺骗了以后就觉得没什么童年了，所以童年应该是在自己没认识到有谎言，从未被欺骗这些事以前，一旦接触到现实和人性的阴暗面，童年就结束了。
家乡——家乡还是和童年挂钩的，我的家乡因为中国的变革，早已经面目全非，环境和人都变化非常大。所以我的家乡也只存活在我的记忆里了。
城市——和农村没什么区别，就业机会多一些吧。
叙事癖——最开始的想法就是我和左马自己玩，互相激励对方的杂志，没想到卖的不错。以后每期都会邀请不同新作者加入，让杂志再丰富一些，不过依然是小批量的印刷吧，还是以自己玩为主。
